Here’s my 1st attempt at making my own clutch handbag. I got a creative urge to make something last night, so I decided to make this little handbag. I was up until 4 am making this. I started around 2:30 am I think. For my first try I think it turned out pretty good. The trickiest part was gluing the bag into the frame. The name of the glue I used is Gütermann, this stuff is the business. I’m still removing the excess glue from the frame. Some glue got on the fabric just a little. Towards the end that glue was all over my hands and it took me 15 mins to get it off! One thing is for sure that fabric won’t be going anywhere, which is great. I would hate to be using my little clutch and all my stuff falling out one day…lol
Measurements: at the widest part across the bottom 7.5″ and from the top of the handle bubbles to the bottom of the bag 8.5″ The made is made from 100% linen fabric with a Japanese print. The inside is made of 100% cotton fabric.
Overall, I’m really diggin my little clutch. I’m so happy I was able to put it together myself, without running to my mom for help…lol she’s the sower of the family so I learned how to use a sewing machine from her.
