W.I.P | Winter Observer

Here’s a screenshot of my new painting I’m working on right now. I’m going for a really moody foggy look and have this strong cast of warm light from the street lamp. The shot below is the bare bones of how I start my paintings in PSD. I really don’t have any set “rules” on how I start a painting in PSD, its different for each painting. I like to experiment and I’m still learning different techniques myself. The only thing I would say is the same across the board. Is that I always, always work in layers (esp. labeled layers). I have to keep my file organized. If I don’t I would be wrackin’ my mind trying to figure out what layer something is on that I either need to delete or work on.

    Ohh…I think this is going to be a good one. I love the red cloak and the white hand warmer….this could almost be a Christmas card!
