After some back and forth, I finally dececided on the illustration I wanted to use as my new promo postcard. I finished this piece in the wee hours of Monday morning. I was kind of surprised I sat here Sunday night and worked on this. I rarely paint on Sunday cause I’m so tired after church and still half asleep after my nap. Then, when I finally wake up. I’m just plain butt lazy for the rest of the night. However, I got that creative urge to finish what I had started late Saturday night.
Now, I’m debating on which printing company to use this time. I really liked using GotPrint last year (my first time using them) The quality is great and the prices are budget friendly. I had discovered another printing company on Etsy called, White House Custom Colour (WHCC). WHCC looks pretty cool. You have to setup an account and they will do 5 test prints of whatever images you want for free. They also sent samples of all their paper finishes, which is always big plus.
I may use GotPrint to print my promo postcards, because I get 100 cards at a good price. Then, use WHCC when I’m ready to print a variety of postcards to sale in my Etsy shop. I’ve looked at so many printing sites trying to find the best price point to order multi postcards. It would be perfect if every company could print a variety of images in one order like Moo Cards. Alas, it doesn’t work that way with other printers. Every company I looked at said that you have to order each postcard design separately. Anyway, WHCC seems like the best place I’ve found that offer a small quantity (Pack of 25) at the best price. I definitely don’t want have too many cards on hand. So, a pack of 25 x 5 postcard designs is perfect! Its best to start small and see how things pan out. Man, if I tried that at the other printer company (that will remain nameless) that I use to order from all the time…woo baby that most likely would be a car payment, and a butt load of 500 cards gathering dust, lol.
Anywhoo, on to the lucky lil illustration that will be my new promo postcard. When I order and get them in I’ll post the final product. :O)
